“White papers are the most traditional B2B marketing effort, but they’re kind of the unsexy thing. You’re asking people to download this really dense paper.”

About Air

Air is a creative operations platform that helps marketing, creative and ops teams manage, organize and collaborate on content at scale. Its audience — marketers, creative directors and ops leaders — isn’t exactly the “tap-tap-buy-now” crowd. Every year, Air ships a flagship trend report designed to drive interest, credibility and leads. The 2026 edition needed to do all three.

The challenge

Air does a lot of brand campaigns — stunts, activations, big swings. This one was different: it actually had to drive leads. The problem? Most influencer campaigns ask audiences to do something hard. Click out of the app. Open a link in bio. Fill a form. Book a demo. By the time you ask, most of the audience has already scrolled past.

  • Get marketers to actually download a dense B2B trend report
  • Drive measurable leads, not vanity views
  • Avoid the “use my code” / “book a demo” pattern that only converts the already-ready
  • Make creators feel native to a B2B SaaS audience on Instagram

Creatorbuzz’s role

Air had the report. Creatorbuzz made sure people actually cared. We didn’t treat creators like a distribution layer bolted onto a finished asset — we built them into the report itself and re-engineered the call to action so anyone could take it.

  • Sourced and vetted 5 creators whose audiences matched Air’s ICP of marketers, creative directors and ops leaders.
  • Embedded creators into the report — each contributed their own predictions, POV and voice to the 2026 Trend Report itself.
  • Designed the comment-to-DM flow powered by Manychat: post goes live → audience comments “AIR” → instant DM with the report. No link in bio, no extra steps.
  • Managed full execution across all 5 creators — briefing, scripting, content review, posting cadence and reporting.
  • Built the distribution strategy so each post stacked on the last, escalating from 1K comments to 3K to 6K+.

The shift: make it stupid easy to say yes

Most campaigns assume that if people see it, they’ll click. They won’t. Clicking takes effort. Leaving the app takes effort. So Creatorbuzz removed every step between intent and asset. The “ask” became a single word in the comments.

The flow:

  • Post goes live
  • Audience comments “AIR”
  • Manychat instantly DMs the report

The “this shouldn’t be working” moment

The first post drew over 1,000 comments — unusually high for a B2B white paper. The second post drew 3,000. The final post crossed 6,000 comments. For Manychat-driven campaigns, this was roughly 10x the volume Creatorbuzz typically sees.

The results

  • 6,200 leads captured directly from comment-triggered DMs.
  • 3,700 report downloads.
  • ~9,500 comments across 5 creator posts — ~10x Creatorbuzz’s typical Manychat benchmarks.
  • ~694,000 views across the campaign.
  • Engagement, not just reach — the conversation in the comments became the campaign signal, with marketers tagging colleagues and discussing trends from the report.

Why it worked (steal this)

  • Stop asking for too much. If you want lead flow, “book a demo” is probably not your CTA.
  • Use a softer entry point. Lower the barrier to one action anyone can take.
  • Capture intent instantly. Comment → DM → done. No drop-off window.
  • Pick the right creators. If the creator’s wrong, the CTA and offer don’t matter.
  • Focus on conversation, not just reach. That’s where the buying signal lives.

Where B2B influencer marketing is going

Creators weren’t treated like billboards in this campaign — they were embedded into the asset itself. That’s the model B2B brands will be running for the next decade.

“Creatorbuzz understood what we were trying to do with Air’s brand and brought us creators who actually live in the creative ops and marketing world. The content felt native, funny, and genuinely useful. The campaign drove hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of high-intent leads from exactly the people we care about.”
